Save the date for the annual, statewide CITEA (California Industrial & Technology Education Association) conference for March 31 - April 1 (Friday & Saturday). The conference will be held this year at Laney College in Oakland, CA.
CITEA is the statewide organization for industrial technology teachers (both high school and community college).
The CITEA conference is focused on helping technology educators with curriculum, connections, and camaraderie.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
If you teach machining, welding, graphics, CAD, carpentry, automotive technology, wood technology, or engineering in a California K-12 system or community college, this is the conference you should attend.
They are making a special effort this year to welcome high school teachers involved with engineering programs. There will be sessions to help those teachers integrate hands-on activities into their curriculum and learn what others are doing in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for these (and all teachers) to meet colleagues throughout the state who teach in their discipline.
Networking with colleagues throughout the state!
